Fools and Dreamers

PG 30m

The first screening of 2022 has been inspired by the rewilding efforts in and around Peaslake.

Fools and Dreamers - Regenerating a Native Forest is a 30-minute documentary about Hinewai Nature Reserve, on New Zealand’s Banks Peninsula. Forest regeneration is one of the most important actions that needs to be taken globally to address climate change and we hope that this short film will inspire our community to embrace rewilding in and around our homes.

The Lorax

2012 PG 94m

The classic Dr Suess children’s story from 1971 is brought to life in the Universal Pictures award winning adaptation that has been enjoyed by young and old since its release ten years ago.

Telling the story of a 12 year old boys search for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.

We chose to launch our first outdoor cinema movie with this choice for its relevance to all of us and in recognition of the world that we need to fight to protect for the young people of today.
